X user @otaldofuntime has shared a couple of leaked images from SEGA’s long-awaited next Sonic Racing game Sonic Racing Crossworlds. The game, which we currently know very little about it, is rumoured to be appearing in this evening’s PlayStation State of Play broadcast. The X user says that the leaked screens suggest there are “extreme gears, dinosaurs from Sonic and the Secret Rings and references to Minecraft.” Sonic Racing Crosswords doesn’t have a set release date, but hopefully we will find out soon.

Yes, I saw that too. Maybe the bottom picture is a leak from the rumored February Direct?
Or the picture might be from a video that Nintendo or Sega will post (for the Switch version) after the State of Play.

Sonic Forces on Switch was weird like that I’m pretty sure. Sonic Frontiers and Sonic X Shadow Generations probably were the same way; I never bought those two games on Switch though, so I’m not sure
Holy crap, the extreme gear is coming back! Hopefully it controls and feels like the Riders games when you use it. Also Jet!!!

Which part reference minecraft?
From what I saw in the official trailer trailer of the game, I think the person who leaked the images on this post confused the pixelated Green Hill stage “cubes” with a Minecraft reference. Maybe not, maybe there are references to Minecraft that were not shown on the trailer but will be revealed down the line.
