Wasn’t “wokeness” that caused the poor reviews.
It was due to the game’s nonsensical plot choices and betrayal of a characters writing.
Biggest one being that the choice you made at the ending of the 1st game was made completely irrelevant. If you saved Chloe, she would break up with you and never seen in the series again. (no mention of the destroyed town either)
They made Max herself act NOTHING like her character to become, from the 1st game.
They left the game’s story very open ended with no concrete resolution, so they could set up a “MCU-like” series with the ip; With other characters having powers..
In the immortal words of Henry Cavill’s Geralt… fuck. In spite of bad sales & that company’s involvement, I was still gonna buy it because I miss Max but apparently it’s just Snoke. (That’s gonna be my nickname for crappy clones from now on since Snoke was revealed to be a failed clone of Palpatine.)
I think double exposure could have done more with story but they should have a camera to take photos of everything and new one I say might come out 2027 dontnad get onto it
