Japan: Monster Hunter Wilds remains No.1 this week

The latest video game software and hardware charts have come through from Japan and there’s no change at the top for Monster Hunter Wilds, which has naturally proven to be a popular title in the Land of the Rising Sun. The best-selling hardware this week is the Nintendo Switch family of systems selling 27,898 units, compared to the PlayStation 5 family, which sold slightly less at 27,863 units. Here’s the best-sellers:

  1. CMIIW, but even the mighty brand new Monhun can only boost the PS5 sales past the Switch for only two weeks? Hmm. If next week number for PS5 is even worse than this week then that prove it’s not a stock problem. That simultaneous release on Steam must do some damage too unlike that time with MHWorld in 2018. This game is quite literally the only chance for Sony to fight the Nintendo domination in Japan lol.

      1. I play it on steam though? Just stating some facts about how times have changed since the release of World in 2018 where the PS4 was competitive unlike the current PS5 lol

          1. In Japan it’s not. My original comment at the top explicitly said in japan (where Nintendo dominates by far). In US, yes the PS5 is slightly tracking above the PS4.
