Jeff Grubb hints at big third party surprise in tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct

Nintendo announced earlier today that they are holding a special Nintendo Switch 1-themed Nintendo Direct presentation tomorrow. This will give us an idea about the games which lay ahead for the aging platform. Journalist Jeff Grubb has stated that he heard about the Nintendo Direct in advance due to a partner game, which he is confident will be shown during the presentation. He says that this specific game will “cause a lot of conversation and it’s not necessarily a Nintendo one.”

“The reason I learned about this Nintendo Direct is because of a partner game and there’s gonna be a game that will cause a lot of conversation and it’s not necessarily a Nintendo one”

  1. GTA V? This is surely the level of third party game that would steal the show from Nintendo in a Nintendo Direct? Given that GTA V was originally a PS360 game there’s really no technical reason why it couldn’t come to the Switch either.

    1. I would LOVE IT, Big fan of the GTA 5 Campaign, but ehhhhh don’t see Rockstar giving Gta 5 another platform, I think they want to focus on GTA 6 right now and they will try their best to transfer the gta 5 playerbase to the next installment.

    2. I think that’d be announced for the Switch 2 rather than the Switch 1, but it would be nice to see them show off GTA V running on the Switch, even if it is the PS3/360 version, which even in itself is a pretty looking game.

  2. I say Chrono Trigger Remake. Square already hinted at projects this year for anniversary, and the majority of HD2D games have been announced at Nintendo events.
