At Least :P!
Idk why I keep seeing people being shock about it being 60 mins the original switch livestream was the same amount of time and it was fill to the brim with games.
Yeah it’s most likely the same as the original Switch. There is no reason for them to be freak out about it.
I don’t remember it having games. It remember it showing a brief glimpse of Super Mario Odyssey for the first time but I don’t remember it actually focusing on any games… just the console and the hybrid nature of it.
I also don’t remember it being 60 minutes.
It was just over an hour and featured quite a few games.
It had plenty of games. In order:
-About 17 minutes showcasing the console (while giving glimpses of BotW and confirming MK8D).
-1-2 Switch. (trailer and presentation)
-ARMS. (trailer and presentation)
-Splatoon 2. (trailer and presentation)
-Super Mario Odyssey. (trailer and presentation)
-Xenoblade Chronicles 2. (teaser)
-Fire Emblem Warriors. (teaser)
-Dragon Quest X, XI, Heroes I and II. (logo)
-Shin Megami Tensei V. (teaser)
-Octopath Traveller. (trailer)
-Toshihiro Nagoshi talking about SEGA support.
-Todd Howard talking about and showing a Skyrim trailer.
-Suda 51 talking about Travis Touchdown coming to Switch.
-Patrick Söderlund talking about FIFA coming to Switch.
-Trailer showcasing titles like Rayman Legends, Sonic Forces, Disgaea, DB Xenoverse 2, Just Dance, etc.
-And it capped off with Breath of the Wild release trailer.
So it was quite full with content in over 1 hour. I’m sure the Switch 2 Direct will be the same: mostly Nintendo titles, some third teasers, people talking about future games and a banger cap off.
I guess I was thinking of the reveal trailer with the rooftop parties, guy walking his dog, etc
Oh nice. That means we should get some closer looks at Switch 2 games as well, I hope.
Great to know it will be sizeable and also that there will be treehouse livestreams the days after which will go into more depth on the stuff they probably gloss over in the direct
The longer the better.
Im so hyped man.
The monkey is excited. Disarm all weaponry.
I’ve been so busy lately that it never fully registered with me that this is truly the end of the Switch era. Yeah sure, there’s still gonna be a few more months before the system releases, but realistically this is it. The Switch will no longer be the shiny new Nintendo toy, and the OLED Switch won’t be its only upgrade. Switch 2 will be within grasp soon, and that will be the beginning of a new era entirely its own. It’s a bit surreal to think about how I’ve been here since day 1, and I’ll be here again day 1 for the next. I guess that’s just hardware at the end of the day, but it’s still gotta mean something in some way, yeah? Anyway, here’s to the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
That’s gotta mean something good, right?
I’m truly excited for this but I’m still more concerned about the price and the joycons themselves.
If I remember correctly, the live stream of the switch had lasted an hour and it was live from Japan, the games came later during a Nintendo Direct
Here, it looks like they’re going to make a presentation of the games with it (at least we have to hope so and close its “rumors” of no third party games when it is released…)
In any case, 60 minutes of Nintendo direct, I can’t wait to see it
I’m getting very old, i still remember when i just got my SNES, my Gamecube and so and so.
Switch will live together with Switch 2. It’s not the end of it. It will be a big family of consoles.
