A new Donkey Kong game, Donkey Kong Bananza, is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2 in just a few months from now. Nintendo showcased a lot of gameplay for it in its Nintendo Treehouse streams, but it’s very likely that the company still has more to share about the game in the near future. In fact, Nintendo may have unintentionally revealed more about the game recently.
You see, the official Nintendo of Korea website for the Switch 2 games, particularly Donkey Kong Bananza, accidentally had a picture of the game with Pauline in it. Her appearance in the picture is also suggesting that she’ll have significance to the game, potentially as a partner character similar to the purple character we were introduced to in the Nintendo Treehouse gameplay.

IMO it breaks the canon, why cranky looks older than mario and pauline and why both of them don’t look older than “current” DK?
It’s an easy explanation, actually. Cranky Kong, when he was Donkey Kong, was already a fully grown, middle aged gorilla during the events of the original Donkey Kong game while Mario was still young so when Donkey Kong Jr got older & became the new Donkey Kong, OG DK became Cranky Kong. Also, Melee & Brawl refer to Cranky as the original DK. Even the original Donkey Kong Country heavily implies Cranky is OG DK because the game starts with Cranky on a red girder, the very thing DK stood on at the top of every stage in the Donkey Kong games.

I did send it to sickr about that a while ago. Plus I changed my password on my account and made it even harder now.
I mean how hard it is for someone on this blog to impersonate another one? You just need their profile pic and their name that you can change anytime. It’s really not that safe, and people can have their identity stolen in literal seconds. Wish there was a way that showed the email close to their accounts
Well the hacker been doing this for about 1 year now and I’m still getting tired of him impersonating me and he been using other accounts to impersonate me which I asked sickr by sending him a message to remove the hacker comments and his accounts that has alternate names of my username on another article on this site. He still trying to ruin my good name as usual.

1. The Odd Rock definitely is Pauline as she has a bracelet in the art that looks exactly like it.
2. This is probably spoilers as Nintendo hasn’t announced or shown this yet.
She looks awfully young I’m wondering if theirs some time travel shenanigans involve or some weird scientific effect that’s going maybe a fountain of youth thing involved.

I wouldn’t think about that about Mario getting laid with her right now. Nintendo did made it clear before that Mario and Pauline are just friends. Not lovers.
That’s probably the real reason why she looks so young. I can’t quite tell if she is 6 years old or not. Because she wears the same bracelet as the original one.
I don’t mind this game, in fact i know lots of people crave a 3D donkey Kong, but I do hope retro studios will bring another 2d game with all the characters from returns and tropical, it would also complete the trilogy and now retro will be wrapping up mostly on mp4 too.
Personally I wouldn’t hold out.
I think the redesign is evidence that Nintendo is reabsorbing DK into the Mario universe, officially splitting with Rare’s universe.
So I’m expecting a 3D crossover between Mario and Donkey Kong.

It’s one of the games that interests me the most on the new switch, it looks fun, funny and above all it brings something new
