Confirmed: IGN has said that Nintendo PR has told them “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition does not include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass DLC. That DLC is available as a separate purchase.”
A My Nintendo Store customer service representative has informed a fan on Reddit that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 Edition won’t include the downloadable content, which was available as part of the Season Pass. I have tagged this as a rumour as this information comes from a customer service employee who may or may not have the correct information. Nintendo has not said whether downloadable content is included in the full priced Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild received both The Master Trials and the Champions Ballad.

That would suck if it didn’t include the DLC however seeing as I’m not going for that version it doesn’t affect me but to those that didn’t buy the original with DLC cuz they skipped it that would suck if this rumor turned out to be true. Hopefully this isn’t the case and it’s a telephone game situation.

There has already been enough misinformation about this game. Can someone actually ask Nintendo directly for an actual answer to whether or not the DLC has been included ???
Honestly I thought this was already the expectation. We’ve seen the graph that says what the Switch 2 Edition adds, and we know that the Switch 2 Edition physical comes with the game and the Switch 2 Edition upgrades. They never specified that they would include the DLC. And I mean, yeah it would be nice if they did include it, but like- are we really surprised?
Apparently, this is not a rumor, it was confirmed.
I’ve just had a quick look and see no confirmation anywhere.
80 bucks for an 8yr old game without dlc. Not the best business practice and it wouldn’t shock me if this is the case with Nintendo.
Almost makes me feel glad that TotK doesn’t have DLC.
I assume if you’ve already bought the DLC then that content is included in this version! Though perhaps I shouldn’t assume anything.
Price is ok for me but i need definitive edition with every dlc and every everything on physical medium without day one patch or other downloadable TRASH! 80eur must be real full game physical!! Tested full game!!!
80$ bucks for an 8 uear old game
Hmm, gonna wait for an actual confirmation because journalists started reporting that the switch 2 cartridges for switch games didn’t come with the update and had to be downloaded, only to be proven wrong. Also, as far as I know, Botw switch 2 edition is 70, which is outrageous that an 8 year old game is being sold at an even higher price than the original just for some graphical updates. It looks nice yeah, but not freaking 70 dollars nice, god, nintendo is really full of themselves this generation, hope they have a wii u situation with the switch 2 so they have their ego knocked down a bit.
Even Bethesda had the good sense to make all the DLC for Skyrim be part of the package for Switch version of the game, and that game was 7 years old at the time. Legit, I think if a game with DLC gets ported to a later console years down the line, the DLC should become part of the full package, doesn’t matter what it is- characters, maps, tools, story content, quests, all of it.
Do you guys not already own BoTW? The Switch 2 edition upgrade is $10.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s true, it doesn’t freaking have the expansion pass dlc. So not only do people have to pay 70 dollars for a damn 8 year old game with only some visual improvements, but also they gotta pay for the dlc too? this is EA/Activision levels of shameless greed. This version should’ve been 60 AT MOST with all dlc included. “Our games are premium products”, says the company that can’t even put the “premium content” on what should be the ultimate version of the game.
Nobody should buy this version AT ALL, buy the original at the cheapest possible price and just pay for the upgrade if you really want it that bad, but do not incentivice nintendo to continue doing these practices, they are not THAT special that deserve to get away with this nonsense. Man, like, this legit almost makes me wanna tell people to pirate their stuff, I’m really that mad.
They never advertised it as a definitive edition, why would it include dlc?
Considering the conflicting information we’ve received from the Nintendo customer representatives on a few issues, there is little point in assuming this is either true or not true. Wait until we know for sure before freaking out.
Not full game definitive edition physical, no more money from me for nintendo 😌👍
For those that don’t already own one of the best games ever made… well, suck it up buttercup. For those that do own it and the dlc, there’s no point in buying the physical update. Just pay the $10 or if you already have the higher tier of their Online service then you get it free. The update mainly enhances the performance of the game. It’s not dlc or anything. Personally, I don’t really care about buying the updated version of a game I played 8 years ago and loved to bits. The differences aren’t that great to me.
Best game ever made, hmmm 🧐 ?
Without the help of the Xenoblade team, what is left?
It’s mostly Ocarina stuff we already seen and played.
Zero replayabilty, too much climbing for discovering nothing but same temple and seed collecting. Done it, was fun first time, never again, too big and and empty, my guy.
