The announcement that Elden Ring would be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition was definitely one of the more exciting and unexpected announcements, and it turns out that this version of the game will be much more than a port of the existing versions.
At the “FROMSOFTWARE GAMES EVENT Spring 2025” held in Tokyo on May 6th, it was revealed that two new classes, the “Knight of Ides” and “Heavy Knight”, would debut in the Switch 2 release of the game. It’s not known what the starting stats of these classes will be yet, but they will bring new options to the game. Alongside this, players will also be able to customize the look of their mount, and new armour will also be added.
I love it when Nintendo 3rd parties it. They’re like “ yeah we are ok we will wait our turn” and then it’s their turn and the game gets Nintendo Easier eggs ( Skyrim, Minecraft etc ) and we will get added content/ characters (Mortal Kombat)
amiibo support in Skyrim was the reason I bought it. When I started playing it I only played for a couple hours then not touching for years until a couple years ago where I played a lot of it and haven’t put it down only for me to stop cuz other games. I will come back to it.
