Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Nights, SpongeBob, Tangle & Whisper and AiAi dated

SEGA has revealed the release schedule for the next batch of characters in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. Players can get their hands on the one and only Nights this December, AiAi in January, Tangle and Whisper in February and SpongeBob SquarePants on 19th November.

SpongeBob SquarePants

    • Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 5 PM PT

    • SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star as playable characters  
    • Patty Wagon Vehicle  
    • Bikini Bottom Themed Course  
    • New SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired Music Tracks   
    • Six different emotes per character  

NiGHTS

  • Release Window
    • December 2025 
  • Content Included
    • NiGHTS as a playable character 
    • Dream Sleeper Vehicle 

Super Monkey Ball

  • Release Window
    • January 2026 
  • Content Included
    • AiAi as a playable character 
    • Banana Cruiser Vehicle 

Sonic the Hedgehog IDW

    1. Which make them dumb choices. They’re friends with Sonic and co in the comics, yet the gang won’t even recognize them in Crossworlds, as if they were strangers.

      1. I can agree. It’s really dumb for them to do since lizuka did mentioned in the interview that DLC characters won’t have any dialogues in the game. This has to be something related to licensing issues regarding using actual actors voices in games. Super Smash Bros series uses DLC characters voices from other franchises.

  1. Shame that Tangle and Whisper don’t seem to be voiced. It makes sense that NiGHTs and AiAi aren’t (even though you could probably get away with recycling AiAi’s sounds from Banana Rumble), but the IDW characters at least should’ve gotten the voice treatment.

  2. This game is flopping hard the amount in licensing costs is going to hurt this thing more. Sega should have just been acquiring over making this

  3. I wish Aiai and Nights had archived dialogue from sonic all stars racing transformed but I’m glad they’re getting in.
