Nintendo shows off GameCube controller for Switch 2

The Nintendo Today app has been Nintendo’s preferred marketing platform as we head ever closer to the Switch 2 launch on 5th June. Today, the company gave everyone a close up and personal look at the GameCube controller for the Nintendo Classics range, which you can see in action in the video down below.

  1. It still bothers me they made the ZL button so tiny. I don’t think anyone would have complained if they just mirrored the right Z button on the left side.

    1. Totally agree, the space is there, just make it like the other Z button, who cares if is not like the original. And I do hope that Nintendo understands how beloved this controller really is and starts producing Gc controllers for the next smash instead of just packaging the thing only for a limited edition of the game

    2. Unironically, I would. That design reminds me too much of the cheap, Hori Wii U controllers that were designed after the GameCube. I prefer the new buttons to be smaller because then the design is closer to that of the original.
