SEGA says Sonic Racing CrossWorlds controls are fine tuned thanks to Initial D

Japanese site 4Gamer has said down with Sonic CrossWorlds producer Taki Ryuichi and creative director Kohayakawa Masaru to talk about the racing game’s control system. The duo said that the a portion of the development team have had considerable experience nailing controls in racing games thanks to the Initial D arcade series and their expertise shows when players get their hands on Sonic CrossWorld.

“It was entirely thanks to the Initial D development team that, in Sonic Racing, we were able to implement the gameplay which they’d been honing for years – and it was because of them that we were able to carry on with developing the game.”

  1. Bring back Shiro Maekawa and Sonic Riders. At least give me Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity on Switch 1.

  2. Watch it being bad on release, and then blaming said team for the problems. But with the hype machine, nobody’s gonna care if it is bad if an overrated AI voice anime character, SpongeBob and Joker are in, right?
