The Sonic the Hedgehog series continues to perform well at retail with games in a recent years stepping up the speed and the quality. The latest Sonic game released Sonic x Shadow Generations has now sold 2.3 million copies and is well deserved as its a great little game giving fans a mixture of modern and classic Sonic with a Shadow spin-off included in the well rounded package. Here’s sales figures for earlier Sonic games as provided by SEGA and Reset Era member BlueStarEXSF.

Hi, I have a Sonic the Hedgehog profile pic, so feel free to disregard my opinion, but I do not think it matters whether or not that Mario sells insane numbers while Sonic averages a nice medium. All parties can be happy while they all develop nicely and play well with one another.
