Nintendo‘s flagging system apparently went into overdrive the other day as a Nintendo Switch 2 owner who purchased a number of second hand Nintendo Switch games from Facebook Marketplace was banned. It is not clear how the error happened but the user said on Reddit that he inserted each game one by one to get the updates to download before going to sleep. He then received a message the next day to say his access to online services were restricted. Thankfully he was able to contact Nintendo Support who were helpful and asked to see the listing and for him to snap photos of the games and they were able to unban him.

Wait, I’m confused; does this mean we aren’t able to lend physical game cards to friends anymore? Why did Nintendo have to see the listing to unban him?
You can still trade games etc they must have thought for whatever reason that the software was pirated is my best guess.
I’m guessing on Nintendo’s servers, the user may have been banned online for each game, so they wanted to see which games they were to unban him, and possibly to look more into the issue to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else
I’m sure that’s what their true intent is. They have always hated and wanted to destroy the second hand market.
Seems like it’s mimicking the behavior of a mig switch where someone is switching rapidly between roms, is similar enough to actually switching between physical games carts rapidly.
People who own MIG Switch flashcarts or similar alongside the corresponding dumper to dump not only the game but also the certificate along with it and knowingly disown the dumped game to the secondhand market afterward should get sacked and held accountable for such actions. MIG Switch owners should keep their dumped game cards and stop poisoning the secondhand market with them.

I never even thought Nintendo would unban him for putting his old Switch 1 games one at a time probably believe they think he was using a Mig Switch cartridge to play all authorize in one.
Can’t believe Nintendo hasn’t let go of something straight out of the 90s.
