A lot of games have already been announced over the summer without mention of a Nintendo Switch 2 version. Video game leaker Nate The Hate has stated in a new video that he has heard that some big third party developers have explicitly chosen not to announce their games just yet. There could be many reasons behind this. There was the rumour that a number of third party developers hadn’t received development kits, they are saving their announcements for a Nintendo Direct for an added boost, or they are waiting to see how well the new console sells before committing. Here’s what he said:
“Capcom, Sega, Ubisoft, Namco and many others are just waiting. They have games they want to announce. Switch 2 has a lot of support coming.”

I don’t know when dev kits usually get sent out for new systems, but I was surprised when I heard switch 2 ones were sent like, dang that was so close to system launch.
Gotta leave some surprises for the Switch 2’s future.
It makes complete sense. Nintendo wanted to focus on showing off games that not only people were wanting to see but also that couldn’t run on the original Switch. But I don’t think for a second these were the sole games they had to show.
