  1. Nintendo announces Nintendo direct……… ( heart rate increases, blood pressure rises)…….partner showcase for tomorrow… ( slumps back in chair, heart rate drops, blood pressure back to normal)… I spose there could be some info on Elden ring and maybe rd2 would be nice

  2. I’m usually the guy always saying that we just need to wait a little longer…
But all the major games with release dates are already out. There are games on the horizon, but we don’t have release dates yet and can’t even preorder on the e-shop yet. This new console is leaving a lot to be desired and we aren’t getting those needed announcements. Still wondering what the big holiday game will be. Hope they aren’t banking on Metroid Prime 4 or Pokémon Legends Z-A to fill the roll without announcing at least one more big entry for the end of the year.

    1. Considering MKW and DKB haven’t been marketed during a holiday yet, pretty well expected those are in the big slot for holiday ‘25. But probably something B tier will be announced in a late August direct

    2. “But all the major games with release dates are already out.”

      -Elden Ring.
      -Final Fantasy VII Remake.
      -Hades 2.
      -The 007 game.
      -The Duskbloods.
      -Silksong.

And that not including first-party titles, which aren’t the focus on this Direct anyway.

“This new console is leaving a lot to be desired”

How so? We have a Mario Kart game. We have Bananza. We have Cyberpunk 2077 and Street Fighter 6. We have the upgraded Zelda games and now Jamboree. Remember when we only had BotW and 1-2 Switch for the NS1?

Dunno why the doomposting when the console isn’t even 2 months old.

  3. I’d be exited but they are all probably key Card games, old games, or games we already know about. Hollow knight I guess… Like even older games id be excited for if they put everything on the cartridge, back in the day if a game didn’t git they’d use multiple cartridges or discs. Also Them selling old games at the highest price that they csn when you can buy said games everywhere else for $40 cheaper by the time it comes to a Nintendo Console. They should st least throw in some extra content.

    1. I was thinking about the card issue. The thing is, even if Nintendo created another kind of card that’s not as expensive as the 60GB one, almost no game from this generation would really fit in them… so we’re back to just getting the key files and downloading the rest. maybe with optional texture packs. You’d hope a good developer could fit their game on one card, but for that, you need actual care. something that’s been scarce lately.

    2. You’re still salty that you had to choose between the Switch 2 and useless wasteful nonsense? Get some help.

By the way, that’s not how you spell “can”.

  4. There’s a lot of buzz around developers who haven’t shown their games yet, so we might get a few surprises. But being realistic, I’m assuming EA will bring the usual—FC (Football – Soccer) and Madden—Ubisoft will show some Assassin’s Creed and Star Wars content, and a bunch of others will be making big promises about future titles… without showing any gameplay. We’ll see.

  5. It’s hard to stay positive when the first Switch had such an abysmal lineup of third-party titles. Sure, it had a new Mega Man title (which is one Mega Man title more than the glorious Wii U master race, but at least that system had Mega Man in Smash unlike that ugly old washed up wii I used to have), but it had a plethora of Sonic titles where you can play as Classic Sonic and/or initially only play as Sonic (multiplayer and post-launch content don’t count), two too many Bayonetta titles, and a diarrhea load of rushed especially that literally sacrilegious game that should not be named. It also doesn’t help that it has casual farm sims, greedy dating sims (as opposed to shipping sims where you chose who marries who not counting three houses which is a first party title), Jump force which had Narutos mutant son, FighterZ which is barebones, and skyrim.

TL;DR I hope third party titles go for quality over quantity this generation.

    1. Nate still has my respect, but I’m waiting to see if there is really something new….

“2 titles of Bayonetta too much” Bayonetta has not been a third-party game for over 10 years.

    2. You aren’t living up to your nickname, champ.

“but it had a plethora of Sonic titles”
With Mania being the only worth talking about because Forces is abysmal.

      “two too many Bayonetta titles”
A series with 4 titles get “two too many”? Illogical argument right here.

      “FighterZ which is barebones”
OK, you are either trolling or legitimately didn’t play FighterZ.

Also let’s ignore: Doom 2016, Eternal, Wolfenstein II, Aliens, Hogwarts Legacy, MK11 and MK1, Crash N.Sane, IAT, Spyro Trilogy, Tony Hawk, MH Rise, Shin Megami Tensei V, plenty of Digimon games, plenty of Dragon Ball games, Dark Souls, The Witcher 3, Hellblade, Cuphead, Resident Evil, etc.

      Such an abysmal lineup, really.

  6. Guessing the full direct will be sometime in September then? Still excited to see more 3rd party ports. I’m sure Ubisoft, Elden Ring(!), Capcom and other will be present.

  7. Hope Microsoft announces some games for Switch 2 and, I own Switch 2 for mainly First Party(so far MKW and DK Bananza) but I do have my favorite fighting series in Street Fighter 6 on Switch 2, so I’m good for a while..

    1. I was hoping Madden would come to Switch 2, thought it would be an indicator of 3rd party support. Excited to see that. Master Chief Collection as always, but I’m losing hope for that.

      1. Yeah, Madden 26 is coming to Switch 2, and we will probably see more third-party support announced tomorrow.

As Microsoft said, they plan to support other platforms even more, so it is plausible that there will be surprises for the direct.
