Nintendo Switch 2 has now sold 5.82 million units worldwide

Nintendo has confirmed this morning that the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 has sold 5.82 million units worldwide since the console launched on 5th June. This sales figure counts hardware sales up to 30th June, 2025 so no doubt it has sold a fair few more units since. This news also ties into Mario Kart World with the launch game shifting 5.63 million copies during the same time period.

  1. Attention, these are indeed units ‘sold’ and not ‘delivered’? Because in the latter case, it only accounts for units supplied to retailers, and ‘delivered’ never means ‘sold’.

  2. You could have just created a single article instead of the last 4 since they are all on the same topic of financial results. What’s the point in creating so many news pieces if every one contains only a single paragraph (and only one sentence in it is the actual information)?

  3. Sony: Attention, we magically found 666 million more units and sold all 666 million as of tomorrow. Thank you for your attention. Love, Sony.
