Capcom updates its list of best-selling video games

Capcom has provided updated sales figures for some of its most popular franchise giving an indication of what’s been flying off store shelves and digital store fronts. The former Nintendo Switch exclusive Monster Hunter Rise has shifted 400,000 additional units since 31st March, 2025, making it Capcom’s second best-selling game of all-time. Monster Hunter World remains the best-selling Capcom game, though the most recent Monster Hunter game Monster Hunter Wilds, is already the eighth best-selling Capcom game of all-time.

New updates include:

  • Devil May Cry 5 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold10.5 million units (1.4 million additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Resident Evil Village (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 12.2 million units (900,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Resident Evil 4 remake (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, PC) has sold 10.6 million units (700,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Resident Evil 7 biohazard (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 15.4 million units (700,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Street Fighter 6 (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, PC) has sold 5.2 million units (600,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Monster Hunter Rise (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) has sold 17.5 million units (400,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) has sold 10.2 million units (400,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Monster Hunter Wilds (PS5, Xbox Series, PC) has sold 10.5 million units (400,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Resident Evil 2 (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 15.8 million units (400,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Resident Evil 3 remake (PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 10.2 million units (300,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Monster Hunter: World (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 21.7 million units (200,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PS4, Xbox One, PC) has sold 15.4 million units (200,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Dragon’s Dogma II (PS5, Xbox Series, PC) has sold 3.8 million units (100,000 additional units since March 31, 2025)
  • Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC) has sold one million units (New)

    1. It’s not most if not all third party games not doing well on Switch 2 mostly because they’re old and most who wanted them already played them. Same for handheld dynamic I think they all were on Steam Deck.

      1. SF6 has been appearing consistently on the eshop best seller list alongside Cyberpunk and Madden. They’re doing fine.

    I’m not reading that because I don’t want to deal with one more good thing about resedent evil nor monster hunter.

    1. Why bother when Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and especially Monster Hunter make bank. They have no reason to revisit Mega Man and can get by without him. Sucks but that’s just the reality of it.
