Monolith Soft continues its recruitment drive while it prepares whatever its developing for the Nintendo Switch 2 console. The Japanese company published a recruitment post on X complete with a clip of the Nintendo Switch game Xenoblade Chronicles 2. This caught peoples attention due to the new lighting and visual clarity in the short clip, prompting much speculation online that the excellent JRPG could be receiving an update or an upgraded edition for the Nintendo Switch 2. If so we will probably hear about it during the rumoured mid-September Nintendo Direct presentation.

The game was very fan service. I swear every cutscene with Pyra had the camera focused on her chest. Is she attractive? Yes, but come on, heck some of the other Blades had very suggestive figures.

The fanservice in this game is a non-existent issue. No, the issue is performance and while the performance isn’t horrendous, it is noticeable. I want the game to run smoother while still looking gorgeous.

Well, looks like my first playthrough is on halt for now then. I’ll see if it does get a Switch 2 Edition before I resume playing. The game is pretty rough looking on the Switch 2- not bad per se, but it definitely would improve with a Switch 2 Edition.
