Sonic Team head says no plans for Sonic Movie content in CrossWorlds

Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka has warned fans that there won’t be any Sonic Movie related content in the upcoming Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. Mr. Iizuka says that the reason for this is that there’s no new film planned for release within the game’s launch schedule, so there’s no need for any crossover content. The next big Sonic movie, Sonic Movie 4 doesn’t launch until March, 2027. It seems very unlikely that SEGA will support CrossWorlds for that long, but I suppose it all depends on how successful the game becomes.

  1. I see this as a eh. While this would help with sales, they don’t have to bust out the movieverse characters each time. Plus thry already dropped in the copium for Prime fanboys, so one show at a time.

    1. They should. Also just realized this is the first Sonic Racers game Sega in house Sonic Team and Initial D have made normally Sumo Digital makes these games even the All Star racing games.

  2. Sickr, please keep posting SEGA/Sonic updates because this site is literally the only one I use to stay up to date on anything. Also it’s your site- do whatever makes sense to you.

      1. Nothing is wrong. I just don’t spend all my time on the internet and have chosen this site as my quick news source for games.

  3. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 remakes need to happen finally but you know what it might actually be time Sonic 06 finally get a remake too it would actually sell really well with Gen Z fix all the issues not the story the gameplay stuff the game had and loading times. Sega really needs to pull rank on Iizuka and the other Sonic people Aaron Webber and Ian Flynn. Also make a new Shadow game hire Platinum to make it.
