Insider Gaming’s journalist Tom Henderson has seemingly leaked Ubisoft’s internal projects for 2026 – 2027. Henderson mentions Project Alterra which is the long-rumoured Animal Crossing-inspired game from the French company. Details of this are very scarce. Project BG&E2, which as you guessed, is Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development and Henderson notes that it is still very much happening.

- Project Hexe – The next mainline Assassin’s Creed game
- Project North – A Splinter Cell Remake
- Project Blackbird – The new mainline Far Cry game
- Project Maverick – A new Far Cry extraction-based shooter (I have a feeling this might get cancelled)
- Project Rewind – A Prince of Persia Remake
- Project Alterra – A Animal Crossing-esque type game
- Project Crest – A WW2 extraction-based shooter
- Project BG&E2 – Beyond Good and Evil 2 (yes, I know… but it’s still happening!)

Other future projects beyond 2027 include The Division 3, the next mainline The Crew game, and multiple other mainline and smaller Assassin’s Creed experiences. Ubisoft is also currently developing other small experiences connected to its IPs, including a turn-based Rainbow 6 game.

I really don’t believe this with all the layoffs and didn’t they sell or spin off the IP’s to a new company Tencent mostly owns for bigger IP like AC. Its just weird randomly dropping this stuff within the last 2 years of the generation both Splinter Cell remake and Beyond Good 2 I heard were dead especially Beyond Good 2 after the creator retired. Prince Of Persia was the only one I thought could come out despite its 2025 and still no update on the new remake since the last one was scrapped because it looked bad. Same with Rayman heard plans for a new game were scrapped.
