Tamagotchi-style toys are all the rage in The Land of the Rising Sun so you can imagine the excitement that was caused when it was announced that The Pokemon Company and Takara Tomy have teamed up for the Poke-Nade. The new Tamagotchi style toy features over 150 Pokemon to play with and take care of all housed in a Pokeball. You can even pet the Pokeball to get a special reaction from the Pokemon held inside. Centro Leaks says the item will launch in Japan on 11th October for ¥7,480 (approx. $51 USD).

Fun fact: Digimon were the boy’s version of Tamagotchi.
I think I’d prefer a Digimon to a Pokemon pet.
If only Digimon got something this advanced. Even Tamagotchi has something similar.
You got your adorable mascotte Pikachu, the lazy lovable goofball Slowpoke, oh and we even have Destroyer of Lands and Apex Predator Garchomp too!
All you Digimon geeks are salty.
There are digivice that are full color and video. You got the vita bracelet series. And now a updated version of the original digivice and first sequel. They been around for a few years now. Just search premium bandai or zenin.
notice the boxart, the hand placed on top of the pokeball. looks like thats a way to pet your pokemon to bond with it
Whats with the Digimon weirdos coming onto a Pokémon post whining for, that franchise was a bust, move on, Pokémon were the superior pocket pal and always will be
Thank you!
Are you not aware digimon is still around and thriving? Hell there is a new anime starting in a week or two, as in an actual series not a short or something.
Sure it’s not as big as Pokemon. But the idea they were even competing is largely a western idea. And really if that’s the minimum bar for success almost every franchise is a failure.
And it’s not that weird to mention Digimon here as it was started as a spin off of tamogatchi.
So chill with the anti fan toxic nonsense.
Pokemon Digimon Rejects..no one gives a hoot about Digimon and prices reflect that kids
This looks oddly familiar to something I bought in Japan a few years back…(albeit the product I bought sucks and this one looks awesome).

Calling people kids in an argument about cartoon monsters is hilarious
