  1. People put too much thought into 7 but I am curious what the 7 games will be does that include Metroid Prime 4? Nvidia leak had a Power Stone remake listed would fit here, Watari if it’s real would have to be here, maybe Castlevania finally shows up here? Chrono Trigger remake possibly? Sonic Heroes remake has also long been rumored. Unless Nintendo internally is really cranking things out like 3D Mario on the horizon, new F-Zero, new Star Fox, Mother, I did hear they were making Astral Chain 2. They should finally port Galaxy 2 to Switch not sure if those are still possibilities ports of Wii and Wii U exclusives to Switch.

    1. I thought people are predicting Ace Attorney 7, because the “leak” claimed there would be 3 games with a 7 in the title.

    2. It’s not “7 games” (though there isn’t a Direct with less than 7) but “three games with a 7 in the title”, which is a different thing.

Thing is, currently there aren’t that many games with a 7 to go on. That’s why some people are talking of Ace Attorney and even Soul Calibur, since both are, currently, at their sixth entries.

        1. I could sadly see that being it. Hopefully not. But they might do that Square is desperate for money so they’re trying to get FF7 remakes on Switch as soon as possible because they flopped and the Sony contract didn’t help. Look they just sold Life Is Strange TV rights to Amazon.

      1. Soul Calibur is dead at Bandai Namco who’s going all in on western style games for whatever reason and the Tekken team is struggling with 8. Ace Attorney 7 will happen maybe just not here. I’d love for it to be Dead Or Alive 7 given Koei Tecmo said they were doing things with Ninja Gaiden and Dead Or Alive outsourcing them to other studios and now Ninja Gaiden 4 is happening with Platinum not sure who would make Dead Or Alive given Team Ninja doesn’t seem to know how and Shimbori left funny he also just left Bandai Namco not a good sign for Tekken. Bringing Itagaki back would be the move.

        1. Digimon Time Stranger is something I’d hardly qualify as “going western”, though Bandai’s issue is that they love announcing late ports instead of bringing their games day one (especially after they flop in other consoles).

As for DoA, I think Soul Calibur has way more chance than it to make a revival. We had SC2 on the Gamecube online. Imagine SCVII gets announced with either Link again or someone else from Nintendo? It’d be easily the most hype thing.

    3. Astral chain 2 is never happening. Platinum are in serious financial trouble and all of their big talent including the Astral chain devs have all quit

  2. He better not mean FF7 that’s the worst tease. It better be 7 big new games NOT FF7 Rebirth on Switch 2. Rebirth is trash along with that whole remake trilogy.
