Star Wars Outlaws on the Nintendo Switch has had quite the turnaround of opinion with the retail release even being praised by Digital Foundry. Ubisoft obviously has absolute faith in the project as they have announced that they will release a demo for the Nintendo Switch 2 game on the eShop later this year.
“The demo will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 later this year, we’ll share more information soon.”
Sick! Great to see Ubisoft capitalize on its positive reception. It’s doing numbers on the UK eShop charts. Good for Ubisoft.
I’m glad this game is performing decently in terms of performance and reception but I’m not buying this slop. Nevermind the lead looking like a potato and looking nowhere near her model, the fact this game even on high-end PCs ran like dog water tells you that Ubislop never really cared about optimization. Maybe when this game on PC goes on a massive discount I’ll probably buy it and install some optimization mods, until then I’m going to pass for now and maybe by then my opinions might change.
I’m so glad they doing this as I would love to play a Star Wars game and I’m interested in this and the demo will help, I’m prob still gona wait for a sale though unless they do a full on cart release.

Having a demo shows that they are willing to show their product and that they are confident in its quality.
A demo is something that should be mandatory on digital platforms as you can’t return the games that you download.
Ubisoft said it was a dead IP. Why keep pushing it then? Ubisoft and Disney 2 garbage companies.

full on card release will never happen, those cards are to slow. 400Mbs is to slow to handle open world games. internal is around 2000Mbs
Well, at least they can have the full game inside no download required and dump it on the memory, just like XBOX or PlayStation do with their discs…. or do you think they are still bringing the data directly from the disc everytime?
There is no excuse for not putting the full game. they just want to save money. all of them.
Switch 2 doesn’t have a mechanism for installing games from cart to storage.
It doesn’t? it can install updates offline connecting to other systems and also download/stream games from others systems… seems weird that it can do that but not the other way with cards… although it can be to prevent piracy ( I really don´t know)
Pretty horrible to see people defending garbage like this, nevermind that they released it during their run with AC Shadows that was intentionally written by a racist and included child grooming/molestation in the narrative thanks to their Japanese “consultant”, who has written books on child grooming (and not in a how to prevent type of way, a how to do type of way).
Not only that, but this game is an admitted failure from Ubisoft, who is being sold to the CCP currently because of their massive failure with garbage titles like this and the racist, child harming AC Shadows. No intelligent individual or real gamer is supporting this unless they too are racist and supportive of child grooming/molestation. Not sorry one bit, if you willingly support a company who partakes in this openly, you too partake in it. Have a backbone and stop feeding your entitlement if you don’t, otherwise you’re just as disgusting as Ubisoft themselves and should be shamed.
The logic is sound though. Switch 2 cards are about as fast as a cheap SSD from 2010. The only other solution would be installing from the card to internal, which Switch 2 doesn’t support.
