Hades 2 developer says it will now “return to shadows for a while and plan our next move”

Hades 2 is finally out and if the game’s Metascore is anything to go by then it is another phenomenal effort by the developers at Supergiant Games. Fans on PC were greeted by a message upon booting up the game now that its out of Early Access, stating that the team now plans to “return to shadows for a while and plan our next move.” What that next move is is anyones guess, but all eyes will now be on the acclaimed studio. Hades 2 is available on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop with a physical edition coming at a later date.

“The conclusion of Early Access also means we expect to wind down on updates to Hades II once we ensure our launch is as problem-free as possible. Then, we’ll return to shadows for a while and plan our next move.”

  1. Congratulations to Supergiant for Hades II. It is excellent. I am fed up of every major release being surrounded by negativity for whatever reason – some games first and foremost deserve to be celebrated. This game feels like an indisputable triumph to me but I’m sure the internet is picking it apart somewhere, I’ll try and ignore!

    1. The internet makes it possible that anyone can give their opinion. However, you can find much more critics than compliments for anything these days, as if the internet attracts more fights than actual conversations. There is valid criticism but there are also many trolls and ragebaiting in comments, YouTube videos and social media posts creating and/or surfing on drama. So it is needed to browse the web with wisdom and not waste time.

  2. Love Supergiant. Love Hades. Have been playing Hades 2 early access am very excited to see what they’ve done with the game now that it’s completely.
    Highly recommend it!

  3. Hades 2 shat the bed when they made it exclusive to Nintendo for whoever knows how long. Terrible idea, with an even worse company.

    1. PC? Hello? I mean yeah, exclusivity sucks, don’t get me wrong, but they aren’t anywhere near close to the first company to do it, and considering how consumer friendly they are in general, this is a weird hill to die on.
