Nintendo has revealed which Nintendo Switch games have sold the most amount of units since the system made its debut in March 20217. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains the best-seller by quite some units shifting 69.56 million copies worldwide. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons which has sold 48.62 million copies worldwide.

- Animal Crossing: New Horizons – 48.62M (+430K)
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 36.93M (+380K)
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 33.34M (+300K)
- Super Mario Odyssey – 29.84M (+340K)
- Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – 27.61M (+460K)
- Pokémon Sword and Shield – 26.96M (+120K)
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 22.15M (+220K)
- Super Mario Party – 21.23M (+40K)
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe – 18.53M (+170K)
Nintendo Switch 2 software sales update:
- Mario Kart World – 9.57M (+3.75M)
- Super Mario Party Jamboree – 8.64M (+1.16M since March 2025)
- Donkey Kong Bananza – 3.49M

Pretty surprised to not see Splatoon there.
It’s insane that Mario Party Jamboree is outselling Donkey Kong Bananza on Switch 2. It’s more expensive, it isn’t new, and it’s worse.
