Nintendo is no stranger for letting other studios help out on its impressive slate of video games and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is no different. A number of acclaimed studios helped make Metroid Prime 4: Beyond what it is and developers include Luigi’s Mansion developer Next Level Games and solid porting studio Virtuos. Virtuos was also responsible in developing Final Fantasy X and X-2 for Switch One.
Far from disappointing. Do you not know that almost every game made has multiple studios hands all over them?
Curious if this will be big fallout for Nintendo the game took this long, this many studios, restarted development. Curious if Retro could close after this. Honestly Nintendo really doesn’t need western studios I would rather they splurged on a Japanese publisher or 2 like Sega and Square Enix.
That’s A LOT of developers. Either this is the biggest game they’ve ever worked on, or… well, it makes me wonder if at a certain point in time they split the studio to work on a separate project once the groundwork had been laid.
Well, I do see why Next Level Games at the very least stepped in. This game had a troubled development for so long. I still remember when it was delayed because they had essentially restarted development because it was not up to Nintendo’s expectations for quality. Still feels surreal in a way that this game is finally actually releasing.
Which woke studio put in the annoying NPC’s. I hope they close down.

We really need to keep Next Level Games away from anything until they learn that the correct way to play, as biology, science, the military, and aeronautics have proven, is with an inverted Y axis. They made Luigi’s Mansion 3 completely unplayable because they refused to put the correct way to play in the game.
