Nintendo has a section on the eShop which lists Nintendo Switch games which are enhanced when played on the Nintendo Switch 2. Recently added to that list is the adorable Pikmin 4 which received a substantial content update recently, but didn’t feature any enhancements when played on Nintendo’s latest system. The addition of Pikmin 4 in the enhanced list on the Nintendo eShop could be a simple mistake by an employee or alternatively we could see the game get a boost in resolution and framerate.
Would love if it got the retail release “+” version with additional content, but I’d take a free update, too!
Forget the enhancements just start on Pikmin 5 already.

You DO realize in the latest update you can turn off auto lock on… right?
Yes I did know that, but it still doesn’t function the way I’d like it to. Once you start throwing Pikmin… it still locks your throwing arc to that one spot. It’s not as free aim as it sounded like it would be.
More updates are definitely in order. Maybe Nintendo will push out a few as a Christmas present to year 1 buyers🤞
I skipped Pikmin 4 due to being in a time of life where I set games aside, but Switch 2 has pulled me back in. Would be happy to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Currently waiting to play Super Mario Bros Wonder until the new edition is released.
That game currently has its grips on me, I’m a few mission days away from 100% it. Wish I could easily throw multiple pikmin at once instead of tapping for each one. Also wish I could save pikmin load outs or it remembered my last load out soni don’t have to select every time I restart a mission.
