It has been confirmed by Netflix that it is planning to acquire Warner Bros. and that if the deal goes through it has been confirmed this deal will give them Warner Bros. Games along with HBO and the Harry Potter series. Warner Bros. Games publishes the popular LEGO games, the Batman series of video games and of course the brutal Mortal Kombat franchise. So this will be a momentous deal for the streaming company.

Skydance lost to Netflix by 75 cents and is pissed they were not made aware so they could raise their all cash bid. This was a political move by Netflix and Discovery execs to help them not help shareholders get the best deal.

Blame democrats David Zaslav at WBD and at Netflix Obama, Susan Rice, and Reed Hastings who pulled this together to benefit them politically and screw over shareholders since Skydance was willing to outbid Netflix in an all cash bid but Zaslav had to make sure he covered for his political party to get Netflix WB and get the money to keep CNN funded under Discovery. This was all schemey same way Zaslav tried suing the NBA for not staying with WBD because the Amazon deal was better, he sued Paramount over South Park when he refused to pay licensing fees, and he covered for Ezra Miller when he was a wanted criminal and attended Mike Rubin’s white party and he lied about Superman 2025 being a success the film failed in theaters and James Gunn lied about the budget same way he lied about his roadmap for DC films.

The setup was there. Deal will be facing scrutiny probably not too much from regulatory in the US like many try to spin but from Skydance given how Zaslav conned them for a bidding war and had the bidder he wanted to sell too. Skydance can still go to shareholders and offer a bigger deal.

Only thing is netflix takes a long time to bring out a next season if the first season was good. In addition when the 2nd season comes, usually it gets less episodes than the 1st season. Take squid game for example. 3 year wait for 6 Episodes? I’m enjoying IT: Welcome to Derry on HBO MAX but dont want to wait until 2029 for Season 2 with 6 Episodes when the first season got 8. Wednesday under Adams Family the 2nd season also gotten less episodes yet the wait was well over a year.
Netflix is like Sony Microsoft and Nintendo. A better bigger more expensive console with less games. The more powerful a console gets, the longer the wait for games and fewer games and just have a library of old movies and TV shows. At least with the Switch it got 9 years of a lifecycle.
