Today, The Pokémon Company group revealed that Crimson Blaze, the next themed booster pack for Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, will be available around the world beginning Dec. 17, 2025. The announcement comes on the heels of the globally popular app being named iPhone Game of the Year at Apple’s 2025 App Store Awards.
Crimson Blaze marks the debut of fan-favorite Mega-Evolved Pokémon to Pokémon TCG Pocket, including Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Venusaur. Players can also look forward to discovering new cards that will feature research lab-themed illustrations.

This is easily the best news of the entire year for me! The fact that Pokémon TCG Pocket is finally bringing in Mega-Evolved Pokémon with the Crimson Blaze pack is just incredible. Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise, Mega Venusaur—this is exactly the kind of hype content the app needed after such an amazing year.
Seeing the game win iPhone Game of the Year and then immediately follow it up with a reveal like this just shows how strong the momentum is. And those research lab–themed illustrations sound like they’re going to be stunning. I honestly can’t wait for December 17th—this update is going to be huge!

This is honestly the best news I’ve heard all year! The fact that Pokémon TCG Pocket is finally adding Mega-Evolved Pokémon through the Crimson Blaze pack is absolutely amazing.
