IGN names Donkey Kong Bananza the best Nintendo game of 2025

IGN is always big on lists and end of year roundups so it comes as no surprise to see that they are holding their own best of lists. The long-running publication has named the colourful Donkey Kong Bananza as the Nintendo game of 2025 beating the likes of Mario Kart World and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Runners up for the award were Mario Kart World, Kirby Air Riders, Hollow Knight Silksong and Hades 2.

            1. No, it was Jaded. And I don’t know what happened to him. Or anyone else in the Discord for that matter. I think I may have seen him, or his brother, a few times over the last 2 years.

        1. I figured he was the one going by “Ridley for Smash” back when it was rumored that Ridley was one of the DLC characters on ash Ultimate.

I’ve known him as Ridley since then because of that.

  1. This is not Game of the Year by any means. Fantasy Life i and Pokemon Z-A have had me put in some serious time between the two. I will take my time with the Z-A DLC and Fantasy Life i free DLC launches next week. Busy times for those two games. I have DK Bonanza. But, it has not grabbed me like the other 2 games mentioned. I will finish it since I paid for it. Was not remotely interested in the DLC for it.

  2. End-of-year picks like this always show how much timing, risk, and payoff matter, even in gaming, since one title can edge out others just by hitting the right balance. I sometimes look at it the same way I follow odds and outcomes on a mobile betting app like https://parimatch.in.net/app/ where coefficients are clear and the whole game is built for quick decisions on the phone. Everything feels fast and easy to understand, from checking the lines to placing a bet, so the focus stays on the game, the momentum, and the chance to catch a solid win without overthinking the process.
