Mario Kart World achieved this spectacular milestone in just 29 weeks on the market making it the fastest-selling Mario Kart game ever. Mario Kart World is also the fastest selling Nintendo Switch 2 video game and the best selling game in Japan of 2025.
Not to diminish it’s success, but I think being bundled with a new console probably helped a lot. Also just the first Mario Kart to launch with a new system too iirc

This is false, MKW has one of the highest attach rates for a launch console, and what’s being reported here are physical sales, of which the digital bundle is not accounting for. If anything the game has been much more successful and in every instance has proven your ignorance and hatred incorrect.
If they didn’t want the game they wouldn’t have gotten the bundle.

Absolutely has to do with the bundle. Wasn’t there a subsidized version of the Switch 2 for Japan? Cheaper and without some features? Even I grappled with getting the game digitally or physically even though I don’t like it and I don’t play it.
