Nintendo has revealed that the next big release for the Nintendo Switch 2, Mario Tennis Fever, will have the most playable characters in the series history. The game will feature 38 playable characters which naturally include Princess Peach and Princess Daisy. Pre-orders are now live for Mario Tennis Fever which launches on 12th February exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.

I re-watched the trailer from the last direct yesterday, after hearing some people say it doesn’t look interesting, and remembered how much cool stuff this one is going to have. I’m looking forward to it
Just not that frivolous with my money to buy this, even if it’s good. Just make one game with all the sports (Strikers, Tennis, Golf, etc.) and maybe it’ll be worth full price (to me).
Yeah this is a bit of a problem, I think Mario Party spoiled me in terms of mini game variety, excluding board count but they tend to skimp on their other games, golf, tennis and even Mario Kart.. they tend to have short story/mission modes which leaves a sour taste in terms of amount of content you get.

I’m still passing on this. It’s been the same two sports the last two/three gens: golf and tennis. It took 15 years for another Strikers, and it barely had any content at launch. It’s now been 18 years since Baseball and two DECADES since Hoops 3-on-3. I want to see new entries with those sports or even new sports that haven’t been Mario-fied yet, like bowling or billiards.
