There have been many reports these past few months that CD Projekt Red is working on a new expansion for the beloved The Witcher 3. Now IGN Poland has chimed in to say that they had heard that the developer was working on an expansion years ago but didn’t write about it at the time because the information only came from one source. The publication says that the DLC could introduce an entirely new region to explore.
“At the time, we were receiving signals that the team was fascinated by a completely different direction than the frozen north. There were many indications that the developers were keenly interested in exploring Zerrikania .
Many years have passed since we first heard about the DLC and came to the conclusion that it would most likely take us to the desert. The studio’s internal plans may have changed many times, and the folder labeled Zerrikaniamay have been replaced with one labeled “Kovir” or something else entirely.”

This would be amazing especially with a Switch 2 edition upgrade!
Isn’t 4 on the way?
Did you see that IGN Poland claims they knew about the rumored Witcher 3 DLC years ago? If it’s real, a whole new region could be coming.
Yeah, that’s massive. A fresh region would completely shake up exploration and quests.
And if the new region delivers, it’s a jackpot moment—strategy and timing paying off, just like smart plays on Roobet.
More importantly Mouse PI will be coming to Switch and Switch 2 March 26 2026. Check that out! Finally coming out!
