Despite Ubisoft announcing yesterday that it has cancelled six games which includes the long-awaited Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake and closing studios and laying off employees, news has emerged today that Beyond Good & Evil 2 has walked away relatively unscathed. Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first revealed in May 2008 and the current version of the game has been in development since around 2017. Insider Gaming reports that its sources say that “constant changes, pushbacks, and the lengthy development time have likely cost Ubisoft $500+ million in development costs.”

How is it woke? The original game released before “woke” was even a thing, and we haven’t seen anything about this game since it’s been in development hell for nearly 2 decades. Please explain to me how it could possibly be woke
Originally it was a sequel for the 360 era then scrapped and rebooted into a crappy prequel not continuing the cliffhanger ending and now Jade is a kid. Then the creator left and confirmed it’s a mess probably not happening now what is it supposed to be is what we saw scrapped? The monkey character was annoying the most woke thing would be replacing Jade the Asian female lead with a black female lead that’s all once again given we have nothing to go off of. There is gameplay weirdly enough.
Replace w with a br. The company is worth near what they wasted on this game literally look it up around 578 million euros. Beyond broke, how is Ubisoft still in operation the French government should be investigating then again CDPR got away with fraud on Cyberpunk.
Stock crashed by 30% and Ubisoft is worth less than what Tencent invested in Vantage for 25% honestly do they buy Ubisoft now or negotiate a larger share of Vantage?

No this has been in development since 360 and the creator left. Not sure why they keep this going? Also it’s not in their plans the plan for all their games moving forward is the same games as a service and open world so nothing has changed, the stock plummeted again and they plan annual releases of AC, Far Cry, and Rainbow 6 and plan for them to be making billions. Tencent just enabled wackos, these IP are dead they sh;hold have bought Krafton, Nexon, and Kadokawa
This game has long been scrapped but they have to save face to shareholders given how much they wasted on it Guilemots are scammers not business people. They went hollyweird a few years ago reminder they also wasted money on TV shows adaptions of their games and a random sitcom about devs.
