Cyberconnect2 has announced that it plans to unveil its 30th anniversary video game project on Monday, 16th February. The Japanese company says that the 30th anniversary project is a culmination of CyberConnect2’s cultivated technology, strength, and courage. CyberConnect2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama informed fans and said that it will be a “completely new game title” that serves as a “culmination of the technology, strength, and courage [CyberConnect2] has cultivated thus far.”

I’m still disappointed that they didn’t get to finish that FF7 remake. I’m happy with what it became, but having a fully FF7 action RPG, would’ve been a nice change.
Didn’t it have trouble under them? I would rather they make anime games .hack included. Won’t lice I do want them to make a remake of Sonic Battle or sequel.
If I remember correctly, when CC2 first started they didn’t tell anyone that they were changing it to an Action RPG, so when they finally revealed the trailer at E3, Square Enix freaked out because they wanted to keep it turn base, they immediately cancelled their project, scrapped it, and started all over it. (Obviously they kept a lot of what CC2 had already developed) But they claimed to have started all over again when they first announced that CC2 was no longer developing the game.
A new .Hack game would be a pleasant surprise. But I mainly want them to give us another Asuras Wrath game. No more of that DLC BS though lol but that game has a great story. Also, an update on that Tokyo Ogre Gate game.
I wish they would make a Shonen Jump crossover game with everyone in it from Cobra and Kinnikuman to modern day, Shaman King included. Someone needs to hire them to do that. Wonder if this new project is a old IP they have .hack and they have a old platformer from years ago I think they make some game for.
The Saudi’s should fund it Bandai or SNK can publish. Honestly I wanted CyberConnect to do that also a GTA/Yakuza like Gintama game and MH style Toriko game with the arena fighter elements.
I agree I HOPE this is not Jujutsu Kaisen and now I am wondering what is going on at Bandai Namco no One Piece game since the 25th anniversary and Naruto even worse anime and game projects nothing just connections which was trash and everyone is busy CyberConnect2 with Demon Slayer and this, Dimps with Dragon Ball and a Saudi boxing game, Spike with other projects and Sparking Zero, then Arc System with Strive updates and Tokon so I do not see who is available to make games for either in 2027 for both having anniversaries. Naruto even worse anime for the 20th anniversary was supposed to release never did now the 25th is coming and it might not come out for that? Pierrot is trash for sure and not Boruto so they lied on both returning same with announcements at a convention now watch them take 10+ years to finish Black Clover the anime. This industry is cooked so bad. Bandai I think took another L with Code Vein 2 and they abandoned anime games it seems. Last Shonen Jump anniversary the 55th anniversary nothing despite Jump Force when it was delisted they implied they would make a sequel yet nothing and 2028 is the 60th anniversary it seems like they will skip that project again. Anime game fans got left behind😔😢
I think they could make Pirate Warriors 5 Koei Tecmo is there but for Naruto or anything else nope. Maybe they would have Koei Tecmo make a Shonen Jump crossover game but I would prefer CyberConnect2.

Prequel? You mean OG Dragon Ball. Didn’t they add that or just the last part? If they add GT then I would cop for sure.

I HOPE this is not a Jujutsu Kaisen game. That show is trash not afraid to say it, 0 is great but the main series horrible. Honestly I actually want Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 especially over that. Just realized next year is the 25th anniversary of Naruto and 30th anniversary for One Piece which neither has had a game in a while since their last anniversaries and I don’t know if this studio could handle another project with this and Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles 2 support. What is going on at Bandai Namco? Honestly I’d love to see CyberConnect2 make games for both so what is going on?
