That is not all as the Nintendo Direct will apparently give us the first look at the next 3D Mario title for the Nintendo Switch 2. It’s been nearly ten years since we were graced with Super Mario Odyssey, so it could well be Mario time to shine once again.

If you count the reveal of Super Mario Odyssey in the original Switch trailer in fall of 2016 … it’s been nearly 10 years.

This would make sense if it was like the september direct last year where they had the 40th anniversary for mario, but for this direct, it would be for the 40th anniversary of zelda.
Nintendo definitely need to get some big game announcements lined up to build up some hype, 3D Mario would be good as well as something Zelda related ( probably a remake at this point) and maybe some surprises

For starters Attack the backlog did not say they had heard of a nintendo direct in February or that mario would be featured. That would Nash Weedle who said that…maybe research the story you’re going to talk about before calling anyone unreliable….

There have often been Nintendo Direct during this period, so they’re not putting in much effort… and what’s even stranger is talking about a 3D embryo, why not a Pokémon or even a Zelda instead? It smells like a scam for views, once again.
Pokémon is most likely being guarded for the Pokémon Presents event. I wouldn’t expect it to be the biggest focus on even a mainline Direct.
Even then, I don’t even believe this rumor to be truth due to, otherwise, having too many events with too little of a gap from each other. Partner Direct was just five days ago and then we’d have another Direct so soon? And considering how intrincate, so to say, this year’s Partner Direct was (things like Bethesda having a dedicated segment, a Creator’s Voice announcement with the Requiem director), makes less likely a mainline Direct is coming now.
I’d say either mid or late March at earliest.
I still hope that Tomodachi Life 2 will flop… well, it is my deepest wish because of all the DEI in it… but I know it won’t because of the normie factor, who doesn’t know anything what happens in the gaming scene or industry and just consumes games like sheep eats grass. But maybe, we will see an effect on Nintendo sooner or later that shows an decrease of income because of that. I know for once, that I will not support Nintendo for as long as they follow this death cult and ruin their brands. If true then I hope it’s a vast open world Mario Game, to continue the theme from Mario Kart. A “Mario World” 3D open world game would be absolutely awesome on the Switch 2. An open world game as vast as Zelda Breath of the Wild but with Mario, come on, you can’t deny that would be amazing.
