Informed leaker NateTheHate is back with another nugget of information he has heard from his sources. It’s been long rumoured that a 2D God of War metroidvania game is in the works and Nate says that he has heard that it could be a multiplatform release. We have already had LEGO Horizon Adventures appear on the Nintendo Switch and it seems as though Sony could be potentially eying the platform for this new project.
“All I can say is this: When talk of the 2D God of War first started last year, I heard whispers that it was being considered for a multiplatform release. Whether that consideration evolved into an active plan… I don’t know.”
2D? Wait is 2D also top down or is it just side scrolling levels? Cool though.
Well, the rumor itself says it might be a 2.5D title so I dunno. Could be just side-scrolling with some illusion of depth for the areas or, maybe, full 3D movement for bosses.
The fanbase I don’t think will buy it they want modern 3D action gameplay not 2D. Didn’t Ragnarok sell low?

Wait till Marathon and honestly I think Saros will flop too, Returnal did and Saros costs more. I don’t get the point of wasting money on Hollywood actors Saros, Spider-Man Miles, Forespoken, and Intergalactic on the way.
Maybe Saros will perform better than Returnal by a small margin. Marathon is just eh. Fact is that Sony needs to make some very big numbers in software because they aren’t managing. Wolverine is a bit complicated because the leaked script is awful. So it’s better they start to bring out some big names tomorrow.
Confirmed Wolverine will not be there and Saros budget is the most expensive game the studios has made $76 million or more add on the Hollywood actor as the main character normally that kills a game paying for that and I think people see it as another boring game.
They don’t have anything else Bluepoint is done this gen because cancelations, same with Bend skipping this gen, Santa Monica IDK maybe 1 more game but that could be 2027, Insomniac said no Wolverine reveal until Spring and Venom I guess is 2027, SuckerPunch is done this gen, Haven who knows what is going on with FairGames Sony probably wants to cancel that quietly, Guerrilla I think that new Horizon game will be it for them this gen, and then Bungie with Marathon I think that’s it. Intergalactic end of the gen. Honestly bad generation and I think Sony is cooked next gen. Other than that I expect a trash show as usual just dragged out fear is Marathon gets majority of the show in addition rereveals of already announced games Pragmata, Resident Evil, and Dawnwalker with indie slop. Hoping SonicHeroes remake in’s here but never is.

Just got announced. Didn’t they remaster them already? I trust Bluepoint not SantaMonica so theres that and honestly I think the remake will be for PS6 not 5 seems far away. If Bluepoint isn’t doing that I do wonder what they could be doing Ico remake finally? Legend Of Dragoon?
