Nintendo and Illumination have released 7 new theatrical character posters for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Each poster beautifully highlights the main cast of characters we’ve seen from the trailers, but the backgrounds also reveal some new cameos, including the adorable Star Bunnies from Super Mario Galaxy, and the more unexpected Piantas from Super Mario Sunshine. While most Hollywood animated movies would use posters like this as a means to advertise their all-star voice cast (e.g. Brie Larson as Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr.), Nintendo seems to be rightfully confident that their iconic characters do more than enough heavy lifting all on their own. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theaters 1st April 2026.

I think they should have transitioned into this differently they should have done a Yoshi Island/Super Mario World mixed with Mario Land Movie with Daisy to be saved. Introduced Wario and Tatanga and the rest of the World Map. Tatanga could have got smashed away to Bowser castle where he finds out about space and then the third movie is galaxy which would make way more sense but that’s just a theory a gamm….no seriously it could have made for more world expansion and if they did a 4th movie they could bring in Cappy and Odyssey. If DK got a spin off it could have been a prequel with the country series or even a movie version bananza which brings in Paulina and New Donk City than Mario 4 could be Odyssey okay Done being long winded.

Agreed, a Mario World = World 2 movie would have made perfect sense, but Miyamoto’s rush to Galaxy and Oddesey may not have been very wise.
Let’s hope this is fixed in movie 3 with the Koopalings returning, and some great Mario World = and Mario Bros 3 action ☺️🩷
I really love this poster so much. I’m so excited for the movie. I hope AMC have them while I go to the early showing. Rosalina is my fifth favorite Mario character.
