Digital Foundry: Xenoblade Chronicles X Switch 2 Edition “is the worst yet”

There’s been a lot of discussion surrounding the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. Now the team at gaming tech focussed publication Digital Foundry have weighed in to the debate saying that “it’s probably the worst Switch 2 Edition yet.” We know that people have not been happy with the results from the released product and some have been asking for refunds, though it should be noted that the problem will most likely be fixed. The problem resolves around the game’s unusual upscaling technique, which just doesn’t cut the mustard. You can hear the team’s thoughts in the video down below.

      1. It doesn’t feature 60FPS with the same price they are asking for the Xenoblade X Sw2 edition. Even though Animal Crossing is not an action-based game, 60FPS would have still been nice.

  1. Worse then the mario party jamboree upgrade? Really? At least this was a 1/4 of the price and didn’t have all of the new content seperated with different levels of graphical quality. (I know Xenoblade Chronicles X didn’t get any new content with this upgrade pack, but I still find mario party’s pathetic.)

  2. The issue is that the switch 2 upgrade has made the game not only look worse, but look different than players are used to as well. This has caused many, myself included, to uninstall the upgrade in favor of the original look and feel. I don’t think any other switch 2 upgrades have had that kind of impact. “Worst switch 2 upgrade yet” is fair to me.
