Data has come through regarding UK physical software sales courtesy of game’s journalist, Christopher Dring. You may have seen that Pokemon Pokopia has been a big hit on the Nintendo Switch 2 but it seems that UK video game retailers were massively understocked of copies of the creative game. Dring says that because of this Pokemon Pokopia only sold half of what Pokemon Legends Z-A managed with regards to physical software sales. Therefore it seems as though retailers were not expecting the game to perform as strongly as it has.
UK: Pokemon Pokopia was apparently massively undersupplied and only sold half of Pokemon Legends Z-A

Then you got this thing called Nintendo eshop where like it or not, that’s where the sales of games matter not physical
Yeah it sure seems like the physical games are getting much expensive.
It’s because mainline pokemon is dogshit
Umm ok?
All mainline Pokémon games on SW with the exception of BDSP are excellent with flaws. BDSP happened cuz some of y’all asked specifically for a Diamond and Pearl remake not specifically for a Platinum remake and that’s what they (ILCA) heard.
No duh. That’s why the remake happened in the first place. Plus, gen 5 remake has also been mentioned before.
Pokémon hasn’t been great since the original DS and the people going out of their way making comments that physical games don’t matter are cringe, find better things to do with your time than being corporate puppets for anti consumer practices, it really is cringe.
Skywalker said the games are excellent with flaws. He didn’t say they were perfect, he just really likes that generation which I also do.
Same here. Because in some games some of them have their own unique flaws and elements compare to the newer ones.
At Least the Diamond and Pearl Remakes let you have all 493 Pokémon from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh in game and not on a scam Subscription Service Pokemon Home that you have to pay along with Nintendo Online Subscription. Pokemon on the GBA and DS were the best games, than they got rid of the producer because they didn’t like how invested he was in the franchise and keeping the quality and legacy intact.
I guess they didn’t expect this game to be the next animal crossing new horizons. Still the only bad part about this game is the game key card, and it’s at least only 6 gigabytes.
Nobody wanted Pokopia until at the last moment they showed proper footage of it and it looked great. So their preorder curve probably looked a little wonky.
Watch them decide to make actual physical versions now that they know demand is there and that Pokemon fans are accustomed to double dipping.
Ahahahahahhhaha game freak was surprised as I am about pokopia success, hey if it’s a great game I’m glad its selling good
