The upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie looks set to be a star studded event and it won’t just feature characters that are generally associated with the Super Mario franchise. A recent teaser posted by the official Super Mario Galaxy Movie X account reveals that Shigeru Miyamoto’s joyous creation Pikmin will feature in the film in some form. It’s not clear what their role is in the movie, but it’s sure to be nice surprise. You can see some of the other characters which are set to feature in the movie which is out 1st April down below.

Whats going on?!? Pikmin were also spotted in the Super mario bros wonder switch 2 overview trailer. I love the references here, They have the poker koopa from the minigames in the Mario DS games!!!
I do hope this means a possible Smash Bros Movie in the future or even a Pikmin Movie

While I don’t love Illumination, if we’re going to produce animated films that are closer to Content than Art, I think Pikmin would do them well.
There’s going to be tons of references in this movie. I’m so stoked for it.

How did anyone even notice Pikmon in this clip, i literally had to pause and un pause repeatedly until it got around the 6 second mark until I actually seen the Pickmon.
I’ll say it again, I think the next Nintendo / Illumination movie is going to be Pikmin. Pikmin and their world makes sense for Illumination. Pikmin can provide some good physical humor and gags similar to the Minions
