PAL territories are being excluded from some Nintendo Switch 2 owner discounts and free upgrades

It looks as though Nintendo Switch 2 owners in PAL territories are missing out on some owners discounts and free Nintendo Switch 2 upgrades. As pointed out on by a user on Reddit, Yooka-Replayee was the first for not giving out the 30% discount to those who owned the original Yooka-Laylee on the Nintendo Switch in PAL territories. Now it seems as though Aspyr is doing something similar with its recently released Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered Nintendo Switch 2 version. In the case of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered it seems as those of us who live in PAL territories don’t seem to be eligible to receive the free Nintendo Switch 2 upgrade. PAL territories include Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

  1. I live in the us and cant upgrade tomb raider 1-3 my thought was they are preventing physical owners so people buy digital

  2. Even digital versions aren’t able to get the upgrade in these regions. I had to change my account from UK to Mexico to get it

  3. I live in Australia and was able to get a discount on the gunvolt collection due to owning the previous games.
