Pokemon Champions producer says it could run “forever” if the series does

We finally got a full unveiling of Pokemon Champions yesterday and it looks like it could be a solid game with plenty of customisation options for players to tinker with to get their team just the way they want it. Speaking to Games Radar Pokemon Champions producer, Masaaki Hoshino, told the publication that “we’re planning to keep Pokemon Champions going far into the future – basically forever, as long as the Pokemon series is continuing.” This will of course depend on the game’s success as it’s a free-to-start title, but if the foundations of the game are solid then they could have a long-term hit on their hands. Pokemon Champions launches on 8th April on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

  1. Can’t wait to battle with my 20+ year old pokemon. It was a low blow when Game Freak removed the full national dex 2 or 3 generations ago from the mainline series. I believe was Sword and Shield.
