Nintendo has revealed that the iconic Fox McCloud from the beloved Star Fox franchise will be joining Mario and company in the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The news was shared by Nintendo on social media in a new poster which you can view down below. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie launches 1st April.

This proves once and for all that the Super Smash Bros cinematic universe is on the table. I hope Sonic can wait until after the first two Super Smash Bros movies. I know these Mario movies each cover a whole bunch of Mario games, but I at least want to enjoy 1 or 2 Super Smash Bros movie(s) before Sonic ruins everything… again.
Sonic at Paramount and Zelda at Sony. Mario at Universal so no true Smash movie in terms of Zelda.
And possibly Metroid at Disney (20th Century Studios).

It would be easier to get Banjo in this movie than Samus. Microsoft would sell film rights no issue.
No Zelda though so who are we getting and honestly I’d prefer anime over this but curious. F-Zero, Fire Emblem, Pokémon, Kirby, Mother/EarthBound, Metroid, Punch Out, Kid Icarus, Ice Climbers, Golden Sun, Duck Hunt, Advanced Wars, ARMS, Splatoon, Captain Rainbow, Astral Chain, Xenoblade, think that’s all of them owned by Nintendo in some way. Crazy Star Fox shows up before Warion and Waluigi
I hope Nintendo buys Sega and Square Enix. Sonic under Nintendo and Super Mario RPG characters owned by Nintendo, that game should have been adapted into a movie.
But Zelda rights are at Sony. Anyway Oasis who got Nintendo to invest into mobile games now owns 10% of Kadokawa so From Software mobile? Especially Japan it makes sense but weirdly enough Oasis is in Hong Kong.

Yeah, I garuntee, if you didn’t go to see this movie the MIDNIGHT it released, people would be talking about the Star Fox cameo anyway. It’s tough, but I really do think they were getting ahead of it.
I feel like starfox could come back as a roguelike. You could revolve the game around going through random dimension, upgrading your ship and attacks, and progressing to reach the final boss. It would be cool to have mouse controls for the cursor. I am happy to see him here, I am just hoping for an earthbound reference.
