Generally reliable leaker NatetheHate has commented further on Square Enix‘s long rumoured Final Fantasy IX Remake. In his latest video he says the long-awaited project is currently on hold, which could explain why it has not been announced by the company which sometimes shows off project years in advance. It’s not clear why the game has been put on ice, but they must be having some issues with certain parts.

It was real probably why a cartoon is being made. Also he wasn’t the only one to say so there was the Nvidia leak too. If you don’t feel he’s accurate which he has been then why comment? To stroke your ego? Then ignore when he is right?
Nah man, I know that he has been right in the past, but at this point he’s said like, 8 different things that haven’t come to fruition yet. The more he adds to that list, more scrutiny his claims deserve to be under.
Plus, he doesn’t have a perfect track record of being right either. He’s been correct for the past year or so, but he was wrong on many things before that. I’m not stroking my ego- I barely have one. You shouldn’t blindly trust someone online just because you like what they’re claiming. And for the record, I’d love an Ocarina of Time remake and I’m intrigued by a FF9 remake as well. Doesn’t mean I fully believe them to be real.

It actually doesn’t explain why there hasn’t been an announcement because this “remake” likely doesn’t exist. Speaking of rumors, I heard from an official source that Nintendo is planning on doing a Switch 2 pro coming out in the next 1 to 2yrs and price is going to be $550. The Switch 2 pro will have an APU closer to that of a 5080 and a Ryzen 9 9950X3D with 32GB of DDR5 at 6660MHz, storage will be 1TB and screen will be QOLED. Trust me on this rumor and if they don’t come out with it in the timeframe then it will be converted to Switch 3.

Nate that’s great to know but where is Kingdom Hearts 4 and Injustice 3? Just knowing would help. I would love this info even if it means it’s on ice or not happening at all.
Agreed someone ask Nate this about these 2 games. Kingdom Hearts 4 started development 2019 and Injustice 3 ideas existed before MK1 and officially started moving 2023. With MK it’s weird we heard leaks about a new game years in advance but now norhing from leakers. Kingdom Hearts is another a bunch of Square stuff gets leaked but nothing on that franchise. Also Nvidia leak had both in it. Only game cancelled from that leak was Titanfall 3 and PlayStation ports.
