Former Nintendo marketing lead says Nintendo will be “absolutely furious” about recent leak

Former Nintendo marketing lead Kit Ellis has commented on the leak from NatetheHate where Nate stated in a video that the iconic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is being remade and that the Kyoto-based company is also working on a new Star Fox game. Kit says that Nintendo has a major problem with leaks right now and promises that “Nintendo is absolutely furious.” Ellis also said that Nintendo is “propped up by the element of surprise” and that the substantial leak could impact its stock price.

  1. Does it matter? They’re doing the same as everyone else with their film trailers anyway, how many spoilers and jokes were in the minutes of the new Mario movie? I don’t know, I only saw the first teaser or whatever it was, and then they kept going showing more and more in a longer video.

All I can say is that these games better have a lot of content and challenge, given Nintendo likes to water down their games these days though with hand holding items/gameplay etc I’m not too hopeful.

      1. @truthbringer

Avatar characters are my least favorite on sonic racing crossworlds because Gaara lost to Toph on death battle. I brought sword version after shield to avoid Avery, my least favorite Galarian character. I want to marry Rosalina from Mario. I wish I had more money to buy yugioh and Miraculous ladybug games.

    1. Forreal. It wouldn’t be a problem if they just told us themselves in a proper Nintendo direct, rather than drip feed news randomly. We’re closing in on a year since the Switch 2 came out and they’re mad quiet with software announcements from their first party studios. Yet we got a Mario movie direct and partner game direct. Most Nintendo fans care more about the first party games, and we don’t need Mario movie information cause most of us who cared was going to watch it anyway, they ended up spoiling it themselves when they are ironically worried about games being spoiled

  2. So is it true? Or are they mad that NateTheHate is announcing games are coming out that aren’t? He has been right, but I guess we will see.

  3. Even if it’s true, Nintendo will give leakers, gamers and streamers the boot for leaking unannounced projects that hasn’t been revealed by them. Nintendo’s policy about it is serious.

  4. They should have kept Fox a surprise reveal in the movie. Without the movie reveal, nobody would have took the Star Fox and OoT leak seriously.

    1. Yes they would because the leaker in usually almost always right, he leaked the Switch 2, it’s line up, when it would release, so many games, events, and announcements over the years for Nintendo and Sony.

      1. And yet he also ‘made a mistake,’ but everyone forgets that… for example: I’m still waiting for that famous remake of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, and as if by chance, he no longer talks about it.
Not to mention that he said there was ‘massive’ support from publishers, whereas I just see something ‘ordinary’; if that’s ‘massive’ for him, we really don’t have the same definition.

Finally, if that famous OoT remake is true, I pity those who told him about it… my guess is they’ll have to look for another company.

  5. Nintendo is half law firm, when aren’t they they furious about something? They’re battling the world for 100% control over every single thing that happens. At least it wasn’t a data breach compromising customer data… or maybe that’s happening and they’re silent like any other big corp. Maybe they should be furious at conflict minerals in their supply chain, I’m sure there’s at least some
