We saw recently that Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition was rated in Korea and we’ve yet to hear any news about the game from SEGA. A leaker on the ResetEra forum has stated that it will be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 on 23rd June, When its due to be announced is a mystery with some thinking it could be unveiled at IGN Live the same month. The leaker also claims that it will only be coming to Switch 2.
Leaker claims Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition will arrive on Switch 2 in June

I am willing to double dip on this. I already owned it on xbox, but I would kill for a portable version.
It was released on Switch 1. Also is it not playable on Steam Deck?
Only on Switch 2? So this basically says it’s just the version that the Switch couldn’t handle? Then why is it called definitive as if it would be better than the other versions?.. Funny choice of words if it’s a Switch 2 exclusive. If they added extra content then you’d think it would be available as DLC for the other versions.
It’s weird to release this 4 years later? I mean the next game is 2028.
Roger said his announcement was not Sonic related it was for his appearance on the IGN fest. The hope is he will voice Batman in Injustice 3.
Hopefully that leaks soon. Weirdly enough Injustice is kept under tighter lock and key compared to Mortal Kombat. 10 year wait for a game and worst part it might be complete garbage. I hate Ed Boon wish DC games were made by people who cared and understood DC.
You hate Ed Boon, yet you liked the first two Injustice games?
A definitive game key card. Lame
I will 1000% buy this. I actually never got or played Sonic Forces, but I did get Sonic X Shadow Generations on Switch 2. Definitely made me realize I’ve been missing out on Sonic games since I sorta stopped playing after the Gamecube/DS era of games. Hope this gets a physical release as well, would look great on my shelf next to Generations
Sonic Forces is not worth playing, you could literally just play another playthrough of Generations and have more fun. Sonic Frontiers was an alright game, it tried something new with open world exploration and slightly more interactive combat akin to Sonic Heroes. I 100% it and finding all the medals eventually got stale. It was okay for one play through but I don’t think it’s one I’d play again. Also the cyberspace levels in the game (the more traditional level format where you get from point A to B) were really bad because they didn’t change Sonic’s physics in the levels vs open world. Once again you could jut play Generations again and enjoy better individual levels there
Forces is ok, the music is the games saving grace. Generations OG is meh not great and Frontiers is trash. Post Sonic Unleashed Sonic went down hill
Not great games. Unleashed is the one to play on 360 after that it was downhill.
Middle aged jobless leaker who lives in his mom’s basement ruins another gaming suprise for gamers, what a suprise🥱
No they really didn’t also it’s a rerelease. It’s meh. Surprise? Most would rather know ahead of time.
A definitive game key card
Unless it has major exclusive content other than a tweaked rerelease, I’m not sold so far.
If this rumor turns out to be true, Sonic Frontiers getting a Definitive Edition on Switch 2 in June would be a huge boost for fans. The timing also makes sense with how publishers often reintroduce expanded editions on new hardware to reach a wider audience. Interesting read I came across while checking different updates: Monterey case search and it shows how quickly info spreads across communities. Still, I’ll wait for an official confirmation before getting too excited, since leaks don’t always match final release plans. Either way, Sonic fans might be in for a strong comeback moment on the next-gen handheld scene.
Interesting rumor. If the Definitive Edition really lands on the next Nintendo system in June, it could be a great way for more players to experience the improved open-zone gameplay and updates that came after launch. On a side note, I usually keep an eye on Aldi weekly deals while planning my gaming weekends since saving a bit on groceries always helps the budget for new releases. Either way, it’ll be exciting to see whether the performance and visuals get a noticeable boost on the new hardware. If the leak turns out to be true, a lot of fans will probably give the game another run.
The Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition rumor for Switch 2 arriving in June is getting a lot of attention from fans. Some related structured records and references can be explored through NYSCEF case access for organized information lookup. If this turns out accurate, it could mean notable performance upgrades and additional content for the game. It also shows how strong interest still is around Sonic Frontiers even after its initial release. Waiting for official confirmation will be key before expecting anything concrete.
The rumor about a Definitive Edition of Sonic Frontiers coming to the Switch 2 in June sounds pretty exciting. If the leak turns out to be accurate, it could mean improved visuals and smoother performance compared to the original release. I’m curious to see whether Sega will add new content or just optimize the experience for the new hardware. Interestingly, while browsing about game updates earlier I also ended up checking some public data resources like Middlesex Property Records, which shows how easy it is to explore detailed property information online. Either way, June could be a big month for Sonic fans if this leak proves true.
