The Japanese company says both titles performed “solidly” meaning that they presumably met internal expectations. In other news Square Enix saw large-scale growth in revenue and profit metrics with operating profit up 88.6% year-over-year.

I sorta agree. I am still pretty mad that they split it into 3 parts, which made us wait 12 years. I think the remakes are ok, but the original has much better pacing. But I love the visuals and music of the remake, something that is better than the original in my opinion. But the gameplay, story and pacing are very different from the original, and not in the best way possible.

As much as I wanted to wait, I ended up caving (I got the PS4 version of remake 2 weeks ago) and I’ve been, loving it? I don’t hate it, I just don’t quite like the entire thing. Those new quest seem so unnecessary. The game is beautiful, but the pacing is so off.
I also always thought Jessie was a guy. To my surprise though, she’s the one character I’ve love the most. I’m still only 10 hours in, and I just landed in the church with Aerith. And this might be nostalgia talking, but I don’t get that magic feeling I did with this one like I did with the Original ps1 version.
Still, it’s not a bad game, and once I finish this game, I’ll be getting FF7 Rebirth right away.
