Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo Expects To Ship 4 Million 3DS Consoles Globally By End Of March

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has stated that he expects the company to ship around 4 million 3DS console worldwide by the end of March.

Satoru Iwata also told the Nikkei business daily that he expects the company to ship 1.5 million units alone in Japan to help avoid any shortages.

“The company will work on preventing the shortages of products that happened earlier when DS versions were first released. It’s important that we ensure a continuous supply,”

      1. No launch titles have been confirmed for either America or Europe. We will know exactly how much the system will cost and the launch games on January 19th.

  2. Soooo want them to keep it below $250 (think $249.99), but I have this horrible feeling that they’re gonna try and wring us out for $300 ($299.99) which didn’t workout so well for Sony and their PSP as I recall. C’mon Ninty, please keep the price mass-market friendly.

  3. Yeah, I’m expecting it to be $249.99, UNLESS they include OOT or something. Then it’ll probably be $299.99. I will be absolutely amazed if it turns out to be $199.99, with or without a game included.

  4. They are not going to sell that many if they ask for more than $199 the price of a new xbox. Let’s not forget people that this is a handheld meaning one player at a time and a short battery life.
