Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo Is Notifying People About The Ten Free Gameboy Advance Games For Nintendo 3DS

According to GoNintendo a number of Nintendo 3DS users have already been sent a notification message via SpotPass to tell them that their Gameboy Advance game will be available to download shortly. Basically keep an eye out for a SpotPass notification which is currently being rolled out to all users that are eligible for the Ambassador Program.

    1. BIG NEWS PEOPLE!!!
ONM (official nintendo magazine) said that legend of zelda the minis cap will be one of the GBA games that will be given to ambassadors!!!

    1. Agreed!
I mean they dropped the price months ago and the regular NES games aren’t that fun unless you grew up with them, I am looking forward to some great GBA game time before xmas.

  1. I find this odd. Nintendo hasn’t even told us what the other 5 GBA games are yet. (Not that I need much of anything else other than Yoshi’s Island and Metroid Fusion)

        1. I think they will only be exclusives for so long. It wouldn’t really be worth it to convert them for the million or so owners of it when they could sell it. I’m sure they are working on adding Advance to the Virtual console and when that time comes they will be available to purchase by all.

There “no plans to sell” is just something for us to brag about until they make the official announcement.

  2. i just bought the game skyward sword limited edition and is garbage
the wii remote looks like crap the orchestra soundtrack sucks full of mistakes and the game is just ok, the controls are not responsive at times but the game is just more of the same….

    1. It’s totally not more of the same, I’ve been playing Zelda since the beginning (I’m 32). Skyward Sword is awesome, the controls are great, love the gold remote. And the taste they give you with the soundtrack makes me really want to go to one of the concerts. Basically, whatever Noob!

    2. I’ve seen that same comment copy and pasted everywhere… It’s just a bunch of trolls, haters, and sony fanboys trying to knock on Zelda and be a douche towards the people that actually enjoy it.

    3. Tom McShea, is that you? I understand your hate at the game but really? Bashing the awesome wiimote and the Orchestra? that Orchestra was amazing and that wiimote is great for being the only golden wiimote. Whatever gamespot is paying you, it’s not worth it for all the hate you receive.

    1. Link’s Awakening DX is not one of the free ones. It’s already been released, and you’ve got to pay for it.

The only free games coming to ambassadors are GBA games. Link’s Awakening DX was a GBC game. Sorry.

    2. No, that is a gameboy colour game which is already on the eshop. Nintendo would just lose money if it was also a ambassador game. Plus, loads of people (including myself) have already paid for it, and it would really piss us off…

  3. I wish we knew WHEN we would be able to download these games. That help me a lot right now. I don’t live in an area of wifi, and I would be able to get to one, asap. lol.

        1. Nope, as the ambassador games are tied to your account, assuming the used retailer does it right, the previous account would be removed. If you used that account, all your purchases would go to his club Nintendo account.

    1. I highly doubt it’ll happen… y’know… seeing as 80% of the games they have in the eshop are complete shit and not worth anyone’s time…

I wish they made it as simple to use as the one on the wii :/

  5. Damn, and I just bought Link’s Awakening DX the other day. I never played that game and got caught up in the Zelda hype. I need to finish that, but I also need to finish Skyward Sword. I hope we get one of the Pokemon (main) games and The Minish Cap, though I doubt it. Fire Emblem would be epic!

  7. i live in the US, and im a ambassador, but i havent gotten the notification yet. my 3ds was on all night as i waited for morning to check. its morning, and well, i havent gotten it yet. am i the only one here who hasnt gotten it yet?

    1. Majority of us haven’t gotten it yet. I’m assuming they were testing it, and a few lucky people got them before they transmit the message to everyone.

  8. I think it will go around the world so Japan 1st, then UK then US then Aus land if i go by order of SM3dL update so there are a few in the uk waiting on this and I am one of them

  9. It’s now the middle of December and still no word about these games. The clock is ticking Nintendo. This is getting a bit ridiculous. You could at least give us some kind of news other than “they’ll be released by the end of the year”.
